.Akbar, tho grandson of the first Mogul emperor. Babur, ruled India from 1556 to 1605. He was a contemporary of Queen Elizabeth of England, and the most important of India's Afghan rulers during the sixteenth century. On the basis of the Empire he erected in India the later British rule was founded.
