A personal choice of records presented by Frank Phillips
To know what he likes-in art and music-is a characteristic typical of the average Englishman, whatever he may know in general about the subject. In this new series, of which this broadcast is the first, the owners of radio's most familiar voices-the announcers-are going to be heard introducing the records they like and giving their reasons for liking them. Needless to say, the variety of music should be infinite.

A stage play by Arnold Bennett arranged for the microphone and produced by Peter Creswell also waiters, pages, servants, etc.
This excellent comedy, first produced at the Kingsway Theatre in 1913, was Arnold Bennett 's own adaptation of his book ' Buried Alive ', notable for one of the most original and amusing plots ever invented. It presents the amazing, and almost credible, story of a world-famous artist who saw his valet buried in Westminster Abbey in mistake for himself ; who had perforce to start a new life ; who met and married the one woman in a thousand ; and who started all sorts of complications when the urge to paint once more came over him.
