Those taking part in this service represent four great Christian traditions: Anglican, Orthodox, Lutheran, and Calvinist — and four nations. Pastor F. Christol is in charge of the French Protestant Church in London, which was founded in 1550 by Edward VI for the use of Huguenot emigres. Dr. F. Hildebrandt is a personal friend of Pastor Niemoller, and has been working among German emigres in this country. Dr. Nicolas Zernov is well known for his work in fostering mutual understanding between Eastern Orthodox and Western Christians. Canon Leonard Hodgson is Secretary of the Faith and Order movement.
