An appeal on behalf of Serving Men and their Dependents, by General Sir Edmund Ironside , G.C.B., C.M.G., D.S.O., Chief of the Imperial
General Staff
The welfare of serving men and their dependents has long been the special care of the Soldiers' and Sailors' Help Society, who deal with the men themselves, and the Soldiers', Sailors' and Airmen's Families Association who assist the families and dependents. These two organisations work under separate charters, but their efforts are closely co-ordinated for the benefit of those whom they serve. In carrying out their work. considerable financial help has been found necessary, and further funds are now urgently needed to avoid any curtailment of these activities.
Contributions will be gratefully acknowledged, and should be addressed to [address removed]
