Bristol, is one of the real old-stagers of the microphone. As long ago as 1923 he gave his first broadcast from the Æolian Hall. This was, incidentally, one of the first outside broadcasts. Since then he has given hundreds of broadcasts, both as a soloist and with his Avalon Quartet.
