Galop: Full tilt Reynders and Beaver
Here is another broadcast by Lieut. John Reynders-Captain in the last war and glad to be back in the Service. He served for eighteen months with the London Scottish ; was gazetted to the 7th Middlesex, and transferred to the Machine Gun Corps, with which he went to France. At the age of thirteen he was fiddling away in the orchestra pit-at the closing of the old Gaiety, at the opening of the new. In his late
'teens he was touring the provinces as orchestral leader with West-End musical-comedy successes ; at twenty he was offered the conductor's baton, but war broke out. Two wars in his life, and each time he put soldiering before entertaining.
