At the age of two and a half John Bee could play the National Anthem; at twelve he was a church organist ; at fifteen, organist at the Lincoln Methodist Church, which seats over a thousand people.
He served through the last war, and joined the Gaunwint-British Picture Corporation in 1930.

At the age of twenty this well-known Welsh organist was appointed to St. Michael's, Plumstead, though shortly afterwards he gave up the organ for the piano.
He got his first cinema-organ appointment in 1930. For the past five years he has been working for the Bernstein circuit of Granada theatres.
