The Falls of lguacu. A spectacular horseshoe of tumbling water almost a mile long, the giant iguacu waterfalls on the border of Brazil and Argentina are one of the natural wonders of the world. Thousands of swifts swoop around the torrents, before plunging through the water to reach their nests under the falls. Iguacu are the centrepiece of a national park that protects a large area of fertile rainforest, where park rangers face a constant struggle to protect rare jaguars and tapirs from illegal hunters. Last in series, which returns in the new year.
