Thanks to scientists John Bahcall and Ray Davis's examination of why the sun shines, a new theory of how the universe is put together may have to be created. At the heart of this story are neutrinos, fundamental particles in the cosmos that pass, ghost-like, through the human body in their trillions every second, and which offer fresh clues to establishing how the sun exists and works. Following a series of bizarre experiments in Canada and Japan, it seems that neutrinos may be our "parents" and, moreover, the reason why everything - including mankind - exists.
