Motor Racing: Belgian Grand Prix
The song and dance about pole position is well illustrated by the fact that Jim Clark won at Spa four times in 1962, 63, 64 and 65 and was on pole once, in 1967 - when Dan Gurney won!
Murray and James at Francorchamps from 2.0.

Athletics: The Race Against Time
At 4.0 BST, a rocket goes up in New York, and in 100 cities around the world athletes, and those who just want to help, set off running for the lives of the starving masses in Africa, an unprecedented Band Aid/UNICEF/United
Nations venture - like you'd expect with Bob Geldof.

Golf: The Whyte and Mackay PGA Championship
By the time you get to Wentworth, around 5.0, they'll be finishing. The second-round leaders should be on the tenth and coming into camera range.

Football: Canada v England
The last kick of the ball for England before the big one starts in Mexico. Barry Davies with highlights of last night's match in Vancouver.

Outback Bash
'She'll be right mate -just watch out for the 'roos, and take enough water.'
Take 40 old bangers and buses (one of them with John Newcombe at the wheel), line them all up outside the Sydney Opera House, wave the whole circus off to an obscure destination on the other side of the continent.... and you've got a 2,500 mile Outback Bash.
You can gain points by cheating. You can lose them by taking things too seriously. You can even bribe the officials - if you can find one. After all, it's all in a good cause - organised by round-the-world-flyer Dick Smith. After six days, there's a winner - the oldest car in the race. There's a runner-up and everyone else comes equal third. It's all very Australian. Too right!

The 1986 Formula One World Championship
The Belgian Grand Prix
Just when you thought it was safe to go back on the Grand Prix track, McLaren score another win double.
Their 1-2 at Monaco followed ALAIN prost's San Marino victory, and the diminutive Frenchman now leads the Drivers' Championship from arch rival AYRTON SENNA. The Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium proved to be to the Brazilian's liking last year, when he beat our own NIGEL MANSELL to the chequered flag. Commentators

continues a season of films new to television.

Lily Wynn , a successful writer of stage and cinema, has just completed a brilliant new screenplay. Her husband - usually her leading man - is delighted at the chance to play the key role. He is less delighted to be told that she wants someone younger, more romantic and - preferably - Italian. Fitz decides that drastic action is called for ...
This frothy comedy is set in New York and Budapest and uses locations there to tell its story of romance, intrigue and the crazy world of 'show business'. Fitzroy Wynn /
