For 200 years, in a derelict junk-yard among the factories of Walsail, the Oscar Johnson family have bred and trained ponies and raced them on trotting tracks all over the world. In Australia, New Zealand and the United States, Pony Trotting is now a big spectator sport, but apart from Saturday night meetings at Chasewater, it is on the decline in Britain. So, is Oscar Johnson 's seven-year-old grandson Edward the last of a long line of enthusiasts for pony-trotting in this country?
