Characteristic forms of English art discussed by Basil Taylor.

In 1848 seven young artists calling themselves Pre-Raphaelites formed their 'Brotherhood' devoted to restoring the quality of English art which they considered in decay. The Brotherhood only survived for five years, but their influence provided a redeeming force in mid-Victorian art.

Gordon Wilkins covers the world of motoring.

At this Easter weekend-the start of the holiday touring season-Judith Jackson, Maxwell Boyd, and Robin Richards report from the West of England on the development of special hotels for the motorist. Are their rooms too expensive? Does round-the-clock catering mean lower quality in food and drink? Why have the A.A. and R.A.C. down-graded many hotels from three stars to two?
