Journalist Fergal Keane is Michael Berkeley's guest today. With Shakespeare's Globe in London and several private opera companies and concert halls now operating without public funding, Norman Lebrecht challenges leading figures in the arts and asks if it would be better to throw off the shackles of the state. The panel includes Peter Hewitt , chief executive of the Arts Council of England, Vicky Featherstone , artistic director of the National Theatre of Scotland, and the impresario Raymond Gubbay.
