Stephen Johnson presents the first of three programmes reflecting the work of the Halle Orchestra exclusively through its recordings forthe BBC. Today's programme includes an archive interview with composer Hamilton Harty as well as performances of works by Bruckner and Haydn conducted by John Barbirolli.
