Pianist Jason Rebello came to prominence in the 1980s as one of the new generation of British jazz musicians who exploded on the scene, among them Courtney Pine, Andy Sheppard, Django Bates and Steve Williamson. He has recently returned from a two-year break from the music business, and his fifth album, Next Time Round, was released earlier this year on Onion Records. Several tracks from the album feature in tonight's session, in which Rebello is joined by Jeremy Stacey (drums) and Orlando Le Fleming (bass). Plus Jazz on 3's monthly review of new CDs.
