Beethoven Quartet Cycle
Stephanie Hughes presents a two-week lunchtime recital series of the complete Beethoven String Quartets. In today's programme, recorded last September at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester, two works demonstrate how Beethoven had completed the process of removing the string quartet from the private houses of Vienna to the concert hall.
