Charles Hazlewood conducts the Ulster Orchestra in a colourful mix of 20th-century music, with soprano Mary Carewe in Cathy Berberian 's graphic score based on comic strips. Berberian herself is commemorated in Requies by her husband Luciano Berio. The Reich work is his first to be performable by a symphony orchestra.
