In the sixth of eight programmes, Richard Widdess visits the 16th-century Kapalishvara Temple in Madras on the first day of the month Margari. He hears music in praise of the god Shiva for the festival of consecration of the 1,008 conch shells, as well as the story of Krishna's reincarnation.
