With Christopher Marshall.
Schumann originally conceived his great song cycle Dichterliebe, Op 48, with four additional songs. These were removed before the cycle was finished and subsequently published in Op 127 and Op 142. Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau (baritone) and Christoph Eschenbach (piano) perform the cycle with the extra songs reinstated. Plus one of Schumann's best-loved works, the Piano Concerto, which began life as a single-movement Fantasie, only later acquiring the second and third movements.
