Holmboe and Rosenberg Vagn Holmboe is the most substantial Danish composer of his time. He has always followed his own star, irrespective of fashion, and his music exhibits a continuity of thought and elevation of feeling that find eloquent expression in his 11 symphonies and 20 string quartets.
