When Churchill first met the House of Commons as Prtme Minister he was with Neville Chamberlain , the man he had just replaced. When both men entered the House, it was Chamberlain who won its applause Churchill never forgot that louder cheer, nor its implications. DrSheilaLawlor,of Sidney Sussex College.
