I should like to see whole parks full o] contemporary sculpture. It should be a public thing, People should walk round it and be able to touch it.

A personal history of the BBC
2: Nation Shall Speak Peace Unto Nation
In the second of five talks, Leonard Mian remembers the wartime bombing of the London premises of the BBC,
Broadcasting House, and the extraordinary saga of the Corporation's efforts over the years to find itself an appropriate motto: the first choice,
. Nation shall speak peace unto nation '. sounded rather odd in the context of the 1930s.
