A few years ago Harold Lester discovered in a Lisbon antique shop an 18th-century Portuguese fortepiano, which he considers as suitable as the harpsichord for most of Domenico Scarlatti 's s keyboard music. He talks about the instrument and plays sonatas by Scarlatti in F sharp (Kk 318 and 319). D (Kk 414, 415 and 416), A (Kk 208 and 209) and B (Kk 244 and 245)
