Stephen Oliver is primarily a composer for the theatre: one of his operas, Tom Jones , was presented by English Music Theatre in 1976. and another, The Duchess of Main, at Santa F6 In 1978. But in this self-portrait, he introduces not only one of his ' dramatic sketches', but also an abstract instrumental work and an anthem for church use.
