Earl ' Fatha ' Hlnes - one of the greatest pianists in the history of jazz - talks to CHARLES Fox about his long career. He first attracted attention in Chicago playing alongside Louis Armstrong. Then for many years he led a big band, until in 1948 he became one of Armstrong's ALL STARS. Since 1951 he has worked either as a solo pianist or as a leader of his own small group.
