Norman O'Neill , conductor and composer, mainly worked in the theatre, where he wrote music for over 50 productions; his most successful score was for Barrie's play Mary Rose (pictured above). The programme also includes some of his orchestral compositions, including his overtures In Autumn and In Springtime, which were very popular owing to their inclusion in the Proms by Henry Wood.
