Dr Anthony Storr discusses with Dr Morton Schatzman matters arising from the above dramatisation of Memoirs of My Nervous Illness, and relates them to a forthcoming book entitled Soul Murder: Persecution in the Family by Morton Schatzman to be published on 26 March. This book takes into account the writings, theories and methods of child upbringing of Judge Schreber 's father, a leading German physician and pedagogue.
