The correspondence between John Adams and Thomas Jefferson
John Adams and Thomas Jef ferson, the second and third Presidents of the USA, both died on 4 July 1826, 50 years to the day after they had both signed the Declaration of Independence. In old age these two statesmen exchanged letters on an astonishingly wide range of subjects.
