Michael Aldridge as the Provost Martin Jarvis as Ejnar Alethea Charlton as Gerd Pauline Letts as Brand's mother
Trevor Martin as a villager
How far should a man pursue his beliefs? Brand, in his search for God, has always demanded ' all or nothing' from himself and those around him - but where does one stop? With the death of loved ones? With personal humiliation? Or will one be finally forced to abandon those beliefs?
The play is set among the fjords and mountains of Norway in the late 19th century.
