The 40th season of Robert Mayer Children 's Concerts started in October. In this second concert of the series the conductor is Trevor Harvey , who has been introducing and conducting these concerts since 1948. An original feature of the Thea Musgrave concerto, which was first performed in February, is the way the soloist is directed by the composer to move in front of different groups of instruments.
