My Daughter, Oh My Daughter! by JOHN GRAHAM
Stanley and Hilda Fried -man are justifiably proud of their daughter Maya who is amply fulfilling all their dreams and plans for her.
She has been accepted by Girton College, Cam-bridge, and will one day become a doctor, marry nice Ronald Singer , a dentist, and be a source of pride and joy to her family.
However, Maya returns from a holiday in Italy with a nasty surprise and a few pertinent questions for her parents.

Sir John Gielgud pays his first visit to the new theatre and recalls landmarks in the Lyric's history.
