The discovery in 1925 of the tomb of Hetephras, the mother of King Khufu. was one of the greatest Egyptological detective stories of all time. When Dr George Reisner and his assistants found this unusual tomb, they soon realised that it was not the Queen's original burial place. Why had she been buried twice? What strange mystery lay behind the removal?
