Willing hands wanted could well be a motto for International Voluntary Service, an organisation which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. IVS operates in many countries but it also does a lot of work here in Britain, and its hundreds of volunteers take on work ranging from gardening to visiting the mentally handicapped.
In this programme TONY BLACK talks to some of the volunteers and full-time staff and meets young people ' on the job.'
