Five stories which prove how effective young people can be as lifesavers. Gareth from Devon helped a friend who was speared by an arrow, Ross from Inverness saved two elderly women whose car plunged into a river, and Rebecca found her friend unconscious and bleeding after a playground accident in Hull.

Ross from Cornwall saved a boy who caught fire while playing with petrol, and Charlotte was only three when she saved her mother after an epileptic seizure. All these children learned vital skills which made a difference, and the programme asks why first aid training is not a part of the National Curriculum.
