This 1985 Christmas edition of the popular comedy is being shown to "complement" the screening last week of Secret Army, giving viewers the chance to compare the original drama series with its famous parody.
With the exception of its location (Cafe Rene is in France not Belgium) almost all the elements are the same, including similar sets and plots. Actor Hilary Minster even had a role in both series.
In this episode General Von Klinkerhoffen has taken personal control of the district. Clearly he must go. The manner of his going, however, is a matter of divided opinion.
