Second Semi-final
Live from Gothenburg's historic Ullevi Stadium, also the venue for the final, the match between the winners of Group 2 and the runners-up from Group 1. England have only reached this stage of the competition once in their history. That was back in 1968 when, as reigning world champions, they were beaten by Yugoslavia in Italy.
Tonight there is a possibility of a repeat of the classic World Cup semi-final clash between England and Germany two years ago. That match went to a penalty shoot-out.
Introduced by Desmond Lynam , commentary by John Motson.
