Her Majesty the Queen takes the salute on her official birthday in Horse Guards Parade, London. More than 1,000 guardsmen and officers of the Household Division parade before their Sovereign and Colonel-in-Chief. Her
Majesty is accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the Duke of Kent and the Grand Duke of Luxembourg. This year the Queen's Colour of the 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards is being trooped on the parade, which is in five parts:
The Inspection of the Line; The Troop - by the massed bands and drums of the Guards; Trooping the Colour through the Ranks; The March Past by the Guards Division; The Rank Past - by the Household Cavalry.
