When Huck recognised a boot print, he guessed his cruel worthless father was after him for his money. Huck pleaded with Judge Thatcher to take the gold but the Judge, suspecting the truth, asked Huck to sign it over to him as trustee. Pap found Huck, locked him in an isolated cabin, and then set off to get the money. Now Huck is trying to escape before his father returns.
