100 Years of Ladies at
Wimbledon
The Ladies' Singles Championship was first played in 1884 and celebrations to mark the centenary occasion will continue throughout this fortnight of tennis, with many of the great past champions present. Perhaps the greatest of them all, MARTINA NAVRATILOVA , starts her defence of the title she won last year for the fourth time in six years. Her victory in the French Open a fortnight ago completed a remarkable Grand Slam and such is her dominance in the ladies' game, it seems inconceivable that she will be beaten. Today, however, 127 others will seek to prove she can and they include HANA MANDLIKOVA, the only woman to beat Miss Navratilova this year, and CHRIS LLOYD , a three-time winner here.

The latest news on British wildlife with Su Ingle and Michael Jordan Early morning in a Hampshire wood-land finds Su on the look out for new-born deer. Her job: to find and count the fawns of roe and fallow deer. Fawns can walk within a few hours of birth, and run well within 24 hours, so it's no easy task. In Somerset, Mike looks at an animal that is an expert swimmer and can move at speed over any terrain, yet has no legs! It's the grass snake. And Wildtrack has the definitive way to tell grass snakes and adders apart.

Victims and villains, leaders and led, the extraordinary and the ordinary. A series of filmed documentaries about the way people live now. We are not Ashamed ...
The 15-year-old Watson triplets are still at school, Tony Bean is unemployed, and Clifford Martin is a storeman.
As members of the New Testament Church of God they are not allowed to smoke or drink, and on Sundays they come together to sing gospel hymns and hear hell-fire sermons.
'We don't have to be ashamed of our pentecostalism. Most of the other churches used to be like us.
You know why they haven't got members sitting down right now? Because they changed their ways. They forgot that the blood of Jesus Christ can save'.
This film follows members of Britain s biggest black church, as 4,000 of them came together in Leicester over Easter for three days of fervent worship and driving gospel music. Many were moved to a trance-like state, believing they were possessed by the Holy Spirit.
