How Roberto Calvi Died
Roberto Calvi , 62-year-old head of Italy's largest private bank, was found hanging beneath Blackfriars Bridge, London, in June this year. An inquest jury ruled that he committed suicide. Attempting to discover what could have driven him to kill himself, Jeremy Paxman began to unravel a series of deals which left Calvi's Banco Ambrosiano with debts of over one billion dollars. But when Panorama began to reconstruct the last days of Calvi, they uncovered new evidence which suggests that others were involved in his death.
