Last of 12 programmes: Vectors
Giving directions to someone involves vectors - whether we realise it or not. The notation for writing down vectors-a length and a direction-is unusual, but then it needs to be to avoid confusion with other, older notations. Once the notation becomes familiar it shows us how to do simple arithmetic with vectors.

The last in the present series
Introduced by Cliff Michelmore
A spring break in a European city is the kind of holiday that shouldn't depend on good weather. Shopping, shows and sightseeing are the ingredients for success. Cliff Michelmore has just been to Paris to judge how well the mixture works.
Cut out hotel bills by holidaying in someone else's home -while they live in yours. The basic idea of holiday home exchange is a simple one. What are the snags? Anne Gregg looks at a family who swap Ealing for Los Angeles. For his last activity report, Paul Hughes goes sailing at Cowes on the Isle of Wight.
