The Prudential Cup Australia v Pakistan, from Trent Bridge
England v Associates B from Old Trafford
FRANK BOUGH introduces two of today's matches from Trent Bridge, where Australia and Pakistan meet in a crucial Group B match that could provide fireworks if the memory of the bad-tempered incidents of their recent Test Match in Perth have not been forgotten. At Old Trafford, England meet one of the less-fashionable cricket nations who came through from the qualifying competition.

The characters we know from fiction who still live on today. 1: The Preacher
Rex Humbard is a 20th-century evangelist. His church, in Akron, Ohio. is called The Cathedral of Tomorrow and looks more like Radio City Music Hall than a place of worship. It is, in fact, a $12 million complex, from which he reaches, via television, nearly 20 million people around the world.
It seems a far cry from the old-fashioned Bible Belt preachers, who travelled from town to town on horseback.
But, in one respect, REX HUMBARD differs not one jot from his predecessors. He, too. wants your soul for God - and your money for the cause.
