The Bannister Mile, organised to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Roger Bannister 's epic run, is one of the highlights of tonight's meeting which, as usual, provides a spirited curtain-raiser to the athletics season. Don Quarrie , Grete Waitz , Miklos Nemeth , Wilson Waigwa, and Bronislav Malin owski are among the foreign stars competing.
