A feature film starring
George C. Scott
Trish Van Devere
At his secret marine laboratory Dr Jake Terrell has finally succeeded in teaching Alpha, a dolphin, to speak a few words of English. His relationship with Alpha is based on mutual affection and trust - which makes the dolphin tragically vulnerable to other men's greed and ruthlessness when mysterious outsiders suddenly begin to take too keen an interest in the experiment ... The mystery of the sea and the grace of its inhabitants is magically conveyed by stunning underwater photography and the leaping dolphins themselves in this arresting fable.
