With DONALD DOUGLAS
A Stranger Came Ashore by MOLLIE HUNTER
It all began with a wild storm one night, a shipwreck and the sudden appearance of a young man who called himself Finn Learson. The Henderson family gladly gave him shelter, and so brought a terrible danger into their midst.

Calypso's Search for Atlantis (part 2)
Captain Cousteau continues his search for the long-lost civilisation of Atlantis.
Calypso is anchored close to the island of Psira, off the exposed northern coast of Crete. Here Cousteau and his companions discover an amazing underwater wall of hundreds of thousands of vases, pitchers and cups, cemented together by the chemical action of the sea. It was as if a whole fleet of laden trading ships sank as one -perhaps victims of the massive tidal wave that in mythology also claimed the elusive Atlantis. Written and narrated by THEODORE STRAUSS

A portrait of The Rt Hon George Thomas, MP, Speaker of the House of Commons

'The first day I climbed into that chair, I was the loneliest man in Britain.'
'I think the ordinary person in this country sometimes underestimates the enormous prestige of this, the Mother of Free Parliaments.'
'God's been good to us Jim, but he's been better to me than to you. I'd rather be Speaker than Prime Minister.'
