starring Hayley Mills, Hywel Bennett, John Mills, Marjorie Rhodes with Avril Angers, Liz Fraser, Wilfred Pickles, John Comer, Barry Foster, Murray Head
The wedding of Arthur and Jenny is a typical North of England family affair, but afterwards one disaster seems to follow another. On their wedding night the young couple's bed (rigged by Arthur's boss) collapses, and next day so does their honeymoon in Majorca when they discover that the travel agent has absconded with everybody's money. The marriage seems doomed to failure before it has really begun.
