In the recent Queen's Birthday Honours List, Vera Lynn was made Dame of the British Empire. To celebrate the honour and to pay tribute to her years of success in showbusiness, THE VARIETY CLUB OF GREAT BRITAIN held a luncheon today at The Savoy Hotel.
Amongst celebrity guests invited were many of her showbusiness friends, including Arthur Askey Max Bygraves Alfred Marks Harry Secombe - some with their own particular anecdotes and reminiscences. Introduced by RAY MOORE
