The Life That Lives on Man
Horizon goes on safari to the extraordinary world of the human skin. Fellow travellers are not just the bacteria which are as numerous on your body as people on earth, but demodex, a strange worm-like animal which lives among your eyelashes; the dust mite which lives off the skin we shed; and the head-louse which creeps in a million British scalps. The programme does more than scratch the surface; it shows that our lives depend on this strange ecology on our skins.

Tuesday's Documentary
The story of Baron Philippe de Rothschild and his extraordinary wine.
The Rothschilds are a legend. They rival royalty in their wealth and history. For generations they have dominated a substantial part of what money can buy - whether it be racehorses or palaces, paintings or vineyards.
Baron Philippe is perhaps the most extraordinary member today-of that most extraordinary family, but he is no eccentric. The grapes he grows in his vineyards at Chateau Mouton near Bordeaux produce some of the finest and most expensive wine in the world.
