James Burke reports direct from Cape Kennedy with astronaut James Lovell; including a preview of the launch with the Apollo 16 crew - Capt John Young, USN, Commander; Lt-Cdr Thomas Mattingly, USN, Command Module Pilot; Col Charles Duke, USAF, Lunar Module Pilot.

It was one of the most fantastic chases in the history of Naval warfare. It lasted seven days. spread over some two million square miles of ocean, and during it 3,500 men died.
