Since last March millions of refugees have poured over the border from East Pakistan into India. Through the eyes of two families we learn just what it's like to be a refugee without a future in West Bengal now.
At the same time the film examines the problems for India in having to house and feed these millions in a country already desperately over-populated and under-developed and shows how the strain is beginning to tell.
